Born in Paris in 1971, Rakel Wajnberg currently lives in Boulogne Billancourt. Rakel is a graduate of the prestigious ESMOD art school, and over the past ten years, she has managed to carve out her own space within the Street Pop art genre, an art movement that benefits from its lack of borders and encouragement of novel creativity.

You can tell that Rakel has been heavily inspired by cinema, fashion and sporting icons of the past, including Muhammed Ali, Woody Allen, Marilyn Monroe, Al Pacino, Brigitte Bardot, Steve McQueen, Serge Gainsbourg and Kate Moss. With her affinity for Pop Art (Andy Warhol in particular), Rakel has managed to immortalise these stars on canvas in her own unique way.
