Canvas art is stretched across a sturdy pinewood frame, including options for a 20 mm thick mirror edge or magnified floating frame at 40 mm thick. The 20 mm option gives the look of a "fullscreen" canvas, while the floating frame helps the artwork "pop" out from your wall.

🎨 - Mr. Brainwash

Born in Garges-Lès-Gonesses in 1966, Mr Brainwash (a.k.a. Thierry Guetta) moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15, where he nurtured his creative pursuits. After working a vintage clothing store and trying his hand at videography, MBW found himself pondering a career in pop art/street art.

Mr. Brainwash first gained wide notoriety after producing the documentary "Faites le mur !" in which he followed street artists - including the world-famous Banksy. Banksy gave a quote suggesting Mr. Brainwash commit to becoming an artist in his in own right, and the rest is history.

His first exhibition, "Life is Beautiful," launched in June 2008, attracting over 50,000 people while earning endorsements from both Banksy and Shepard Fairey. These co-signs from street art celebrities helped to grow Mr. Brainwash’s notoriety. His pop art, street art, and colourful graffiti earned him multiple comparisons to Banksy himself, but his style clearly diverges into its own lane.

How so, you may ask ? Mr Brainwash’s art is not just his connection with Street Art and Pop art, but his individual use of colourful graffiti utilizing spray paint styles to craft wholly original collages. Recurring characters and celebrities you instantly recognise frequently pop up in his work, including Mickey Mouse, Andy Warhol’s famous Campbell’s soup can, Charlie Chaplin, Albert Einstein, Kate Moss, and Marilyn Monroe.

Beyond this, Mr Brainwash’s passionate works include quotes which clearly sum up his belief in art providing a clear sense of hope for humanity, including "Love is the answer", "All we need is love", "Love is all we need" or "Follow your dreams".

This mission of spreading love through spray paint and collage art led him to meet with the Dalai Lama in 2015, seven years after Mr. Brainwash incorporated the Dalai Lama’s image while promoting his “Life is Beautiful” exhibition.

MBW has also collaborated with artists such as Michael Jackson or Madonna while, remarkably, in 2019, he collaborated with Pope Francis and Domingo Zapata on a painting for the Pontifical Scholas Occurrentes Foundation - an organization founded by the Pope to raise awareness of the importance of art in education. Continuing his remarkable run, MBW opened a museum at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, providing another outlet for artists to showcase their best pop art, street art, and colorful graffiti designs.

If you are a fan of DJ Khaled and follow his posts on Instagram, you will often see some of Mr. Brainwash’s work hanging on the wall in his living room!  At this point, Mr. Brainwash’s street art has melded with nearly every dimension of pop culture, creating a beautiful artistic legacy in his wake.
